The beautiful port town of Fowey (if you want to fit in with the locals, say ‘Foy’) is just a 20-minute drive from Little Sea View.
Set on the estuary of the River Fowey, the town is home to many trawlers and yachts and welcomes visitors and tourists to its many restaurants and shops.
It’s easy to spend hours window-shopping, browsing in the many lovely gift shops and searching for a bargain in one of the town’s many independent stores. For families, the aquarium is a must-see attraction and worth the visit on its own.
For food-lovers, Fowey has an excellent selection of eateries. You can indulge in fine dining or enjoy one of the family-friendly restaurants, many of which have views of the beautiful estuary.

For history-lovers, there’s plenty to see and do, including the town’s very own museums. Fowey estuary forms a natural harbour which enabled the town to become an important trading centre; it even had its own railway to serve the important local industry in China Clay production.
Fowey has been home to many famous faces over the years, including the author Daphne du Maurier, TV presenters Richard & Judy, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and comedian Dawn French.
But you don’t have to be a millionaire to enjoy Fowey – if you stay at Little Sea View it’s an easy drive to this beautiful Cornish town which has so much to offer.
