Looe & Polperro

The beautiful coastal resorts of Looe & Polperro are both a short drive from Little Sea View.

The picturesque town of Looe centres around a harbour at the end of a steep-sided valley. The town is split by the River Looe which flows to the sea beside a sandy beach. East and West Looe are connected by a bridge, from which the iconic view of the town will be familiar to fans of the BBC drama Beyond Paradise, which was filmed here.

With its shops & restaurants, beach and banjo pier, Looe is the perfect place to spend a few hours strolling along the river, eating a pasty or two, or sitting on the headland overlooking Looe Island.

Looe is renowned for its fishing industry and there’s no better place to find a perfect seafood restaurant, or maybe bring the fresh catch back to Little Sea View to prepare in your very own fully equipped kitchen.

A few miles west of Looe is the large fishing village of Polperro. With its historic fishermen’s houses and quaint harbour, Polperro is quintessentially Cornwall.

After a gentle walk down from the car park into the village, you arrive in the harbour with its tightly-packed cottages and picturesque narrow streets offering beautiful views out to sea.

There are plenty of places to eat and drink – at last count, there were seven pubs – or stop for a famous Cornish Cream Tea (jam first please).
